History: Helen Ross studied at Texas Western in El Paso, Texas, in Mexico City, and in Washington D.C. with Samuel Bookatz and Bernard Loiselle. Her works have been shown internationally, including: Texas, Mexico City, Jerusalem, Israel and Washington D.C. at the Smithsonian Institute, the Metropolitan Art League, and with the Society of Washington Artists. The artists states, “In the final distillation of emotions, I hope that a basic truth has emerged. The mood and the subject dictate the media and they style of each painting which is usually in a semi-abstract form.” |
