Place of Birth: unknown History: Lucille Hall came from San Antonio to El Paso in 1918. Her husband, Norman, worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. She studied with Cyril Kay-Scott at his El Paso academy, studied in New York, and sold paintings all over the U.S. even having artwork handled by Gumps in San Francisco. In 1937 she was exhibiting in El Paso where the spirituality of her landscapes was acclaimed. She exhibited at the Woman’s Club of El Paso, at her studio and at the home of prominent attorney, J,F.Hulse. |
